Aurelio Montes - Winemaker

Montes Wines are proudly named after winemaker, Aurelio Montes.  He is broadly renowned as one of the finest winemakers in Chile.  In the 80's and 90's his leadership brought a revolution to quality standards and his insight the discovery of the affluent Apalta and Marchigue valleys, and the innovation of slope plantations.

Aurelio is considered a giant in Chile's progress to champion top quality, innovation, and image.  A wholy committed, enthusiastic character with total passion for his work, Aurelio is recognized as one of the quality pioneers, a real visionary winemaker who, together with his expert team, decided it was better to gain recognition through distinctive and quality wines that Chile could be proud of.  Not content with stopping at Chile, the ever ambitions Aurelio has recently embarked on projects in the Napa Valley as well as developing their Argentinian brand, Kaiken, on the other side of the Andes.  Aurelio Montes is a real inspiration to the future generations of Chile.
