"The 2007 Brunello di Montalcino is rich, deep and resonant. It shows fabulous depth and richness, with seemingly endless layers of fruit that caress the palate. Dark red cherries, savory herbs, tobacco and licorice linger on the textured, creamy finish. This is another terrific effort from Argiano. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2027." May 2011

Gambero Rosso 2012
"This beautiful, historic estate is owned by Noemi Cinzano and over the past few years has shown signs of great stylistic and qualitative renewal. The lovely historic palazzo was mentioned in the 16th century for wine production and the old historic cellars are still used for ageing some of the wines. The working cellar has been moved to a new, functional structure, perfectly integrated into the surrounding landscape. The technology is very modern with strict temperature control during fermentation and the stages of winemakeing subsequent to devatting." June 2012

Argiano is thought to be an ancient place, full of history, where wise men searched for Ara Jani, the legendary altar of the roman god Janus.
At the summit of a wonderful hill, south-west of Montalcino, the magnificent Villa of Argiano was built in the Renaissance by the Peccis, a noble family from Siena. It's truly a medieval jewel, nestled in the heart of Montalcino.
Argiano's vineyards are blessed with a fortunate microclimate and enviable position both of which contribute to favourable development of the grapes. The close proximity of Argiano to Monte Amiata, one of Tuscany's highest peaks shelters
the area from bad weather. Consequently, all enabling Argiano to produce year after year high profile and consistently good vintages.
The creator of these superb wines is Hans Vinding-Diers. Vinding-Diers has been with Argiano since 2003. Before that he comes from a long line of oeneologists, growing up in Bordeaux and working on his father's vineyard. Hans continues to seek knowledge but adding innovation and creativity, while still respecting tradition.
Countess Noemi Marone Cinzano grew up in vineyards belonging to her family. World traveled, she returned to her home in Montalcino in 1992 and purchased Argiano, an estate of her own.
The Argiano vineyards have been producing wine since the 1500's, with most of the wine being served to nobility. Today, Argiano is known for quality wines of drinkability, and ageability!
