For the next four weeks you will have 100 opportunities to support our work and acquire a original, magnificent small work of art, perfect for holiday giving (or keeping)!

The 7th annual contest and auction, titled TWENTY, celebrates the Alliance's 20th anniversary, and documents the work of 93 artists from 26 states and 5 countries. Go Tell It at the Quilt Show!
Documenting Quiltmakers at Festival
Go Tell It at the Quilt Show! interview with Cathy Arnold
Go Tell It at the Quilt Show! interview
with Cathy Arnold, sister of Libby Lehman

Thanks to support from the International Quilt Festival, this year in Houston we were able to record 22 new Go Tell It at the Quilt Show! interviews. The short videos conducted on the show floor at Festival capture "one person, talking about one quilt in front of one camera for 3 minutes," the simple protocol of this new oral history project meant to capture the stories of quilts where quiltmakers and those who love quilts gather.

One of the Go Tell It! interviews captured at Festival was with Cathy Arnold, sister of the beloved and award-winning quilter and teacher Libby Lehman, who is recovering from a massive stroke she suffered earlier this year. Arnold talked about one of Libby's pivotal quilts, "Joyride" and how it exemplified her sister's love of vibrant colors and textural thread work.

View Cathy's Go Tell It! along with the other stories documented at Festival and other quilt shows and events across the country on the Quilt Alliance Youtube channel.
