With 25 votes, Nathan Dean's "Enigma" is the first place winner for Push Pin's People's Choice Award! In second place is David Diodate with his photo montage, "Plant City." Dean and Diodate will now get first choice of gallery wall space if they choose to enter Photographer's Choice.
Thanks for a fabulous turn out for Push Pin! APG saw a packed house on Friday night with over 50 photographers exhibiting their work. If you couldn't make it out for the party, make sure you stop by to check out the great work adorning the gallery walls at APG! The show will be hanging until March 7th with prints available for purchase. Thanks also to photographer Richard Skoonberg for capturing the night's festivities! More of his great party photos can be seen on APG's facebook page. APG would like to thank the amazing T.W. Meyer, for volunteering his time and talent to offer free portraits at the annual Push Pin shows! If you haven't had the privilege of meeting Mr. Meyer, please check out his work on his website. Below is a sampling of his photo shoots at Push Pin. However, in browsing his site, you will find that his interests and talent extend outside the studio walls as well!

And once again, local party band, Suburban Angst was on hand to provide the rockin' tunes for a great party vibe and all around good time!

With a nod to the upcoming Oscars, we will be screening Oscar-nominated documentary "Finding Vivian Maier". (Awards will be aired on Sunday, February 22nd.) "Finding Vivian Maier" is the critically acclaimed documentary about a mysterious nanny who secretly took over 100,000 photographs that were hidden in storage lockers and discovered decades later. This discovery now places her among the 20th century's greatest photographers. Directed by John Maloof and Charlie Siskel, Maier's strange and riveting life and art are revealed through never before seen photographs, films, and interviews, with dozens who thought they knew her.
