Whidbey Island, located in the Puget Sound just North of Seattle, is a spectacular place. The scenery inspires at every turn: backdrops of snowcapped mountains, old-growth forest and rocky shores with driftwood, as well as deer and eagles. Deception Pass Bridge is an incredible bridge to run over and with the roads closed to traffic for the race, this is about as peaceful as a marathon can be. Race is April 13-14, 2013.
