HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TREES!
The educator is like a good gardener, whose function is to make available healthy, fertile soil in which a young plant can grow strong roots.
E.F.Schumacher, British Economist and Writer
Tu B'Shevat, the birthday (New Year) of the trees, has come to life in our ECC. The children have been exploring plants and trees, taking full advantage of our beautiful outdoor spaces - our campus became the classroom! These young explorers were immersed in stories, science experiments, cooking activities (what's a birthday without baked goods?) and learned songs to celebrate this holiday. Moreover, the Pre-K classes joined the Day School in an interactive Tu B'Shevat Seder, a meaningful way to enhance their learning. Thank you Morah Chana for leading it with such joy and enthusiasm!

We are eagerly anticipating Generations' Day next Friday. This family event has generated lots of excitement in our school and we are certain that you will cherish sharing this experience with us. To see the world through the eyes of young children is priceless and we are taking this opportunity to honor the value we hold so dear: L'Dor V'dor (from generation to generation). We are creating a "multi-generational" bulletin board in the cafeteria and we look forward to showcasing each one of your families. Please continue to send in pictures that tell your story from "generation to generation"!
Just like the trees that blossom from a seed, we will continue to plant seeds of curiosity in our children so they may be embraced by the roots that bring us closer to our heritage and traditions.
