METAMORPHISIS OF OUR ENVIRONMENTS
Our ECC teaching team has been on a journey to deepen their understanding of Best Practices and to mindfully focus on the components that will result in the most nurturing and exciting educational setting for our youngest children.
This school year, our area of concentration has been the classroom environment. The challenge was: How do we organize our spaces in order to invite exploration? How can we display the families, an integral part of our program, in organic ways? What natural materials can we bring into our classrooms? How do we show our children that we trust them to be capable of utilizing a variety of media? What possibilities do we pose when we add open ended materials to their play?
The transformation has been incredible, and on behalf of the ECC staff, I would like to thank Ms. Marcela, one of our outstanding Pre-K teachers, for being the driving force in this process. Her expertise in Reggio Emilia inspired environments as well as her passion and dedication to the Gordon School has inspired every single one of us. Todah Rabah, Ms. Marcela and the ECC team! We are committed to continue to raise the bar in early childhood education.

The path to excellence continues . . .
