Indie Communication
Meet with IndieCommerce in-person at BEA
April 3, 2014
Dear IndieCommerce Bookseller,

BookExpo America (BEA) is fast approaching-the show is Wednesday, May 28 to Saturday, May 31-and we hope that you or someone from your staff is planning to attend. Everyone at IndieCommerce looks forward to meeting with so many of you face-to-face at the show. This year, we strongly encourage that you send the employees that are most involved with your IndieCommerce site.

With the Drupal 7 upgrade affecting all IC stores, we are expanding in-person IndieCommerce education at BEA: in addition to one-on-one appointments, we will present several upgrade Q&A sessions, and offer a variety of upgrade mini-sessions in the ABA Indie Bookseller Lounge. (Schedule TBA.)

The timing of BEA 2014 could not be better. The IC staff will be there to talk about a smooth transition to Drupal 7, and the entire BEA tech program, including IDPF Digital Book Conference, covers the book industry digital landscape.

To see all of ABA's programming at BEA, please visit this page. We will be announcing the complete IndieCommerce program in the weeks to come, so follow BEA news in
Bookselling This Week.

ABA members receive an unlimited number of free badges, and rooms are still available at Hotel ABA (the Grand Hyatt New York). Anyone booking before April 7 will be entered in a room giveaway, and the chances of winning are great. Very affordable rooms are also available at Barnard College for $75/night.

IndieCommerce upgrade training will continue throughout the summer in a variety of ways. We do hope, however, that you take advantage of meeting with our staff in person, and come to the show with your tech team.

We hope to see you soon in New York.

Best,

Neil Strandberg

Director of Technology
