Export reports to Excel

QuickBooks' reports are highly customizable, but they don't have Excel's power to manipulate and format data and to run what-if scenarios.

You can easily export QuickBooks reports to Excel:

  • Open the report you want to export.
  •  Click the Export button at the top of the report.
  •  Choose whether to export as a comma-separated values (CSV) file, or into a new or existing Excel workbook.
  • Click the Advanced tab if you want to preserve some of the QuickBooks report formatting options.
  • Click Export

Quotable Quotes

The March wind roars
Like a lion in the sky,
And makes us shiver
As he passes by.
When winds are soft,
And the days are warm and clear,
Just like a gentle lamb,
Then spring is here.

The Power of Choice

In most activities, we have choices, alternative courses of action. After 12 years, support for Windows XP will end on April 8, 2014. There will be no more security updates or technical support for the Windows XP operating system. It is important that users migrate to a modern operating system such as Windows 8.1.

What does this mean? It means you have (the choice) to take action. After April 8, 2014, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates or technical support for Windows XP. Security updates patch vulnerabilities and help keep users and data safer. People who choose to keep running Windows XP after April 8 will not be protected.

So it is the power of choice that keeps us safe. Maintaining your operating system on a supported platform helps keeps your computers secure. The same choice can be said about software applications - keeping up-to-date with your accounting and business management software ensures you benefit from the latest version's features and functionalities as well as take advantage of the evolution of faster computer hardware. With most accounting and business applications, again, these are a matter of choice.

When it comes to choice, we will be faced with similar scenario on January 20, 2020, when support for Windows 7 will end. And on January 10, 2023, the end of lifecycle for Windows 8.

By the way, support for Office 2003 also ends on April 8, 2014, so it's time to get your Microsoft Word and Excel up-to-date as well.

Evolution always wins...
