Greetings from Kralendijk, Bonaire... home of the Fourth International QuickBooks Conference. I am fortunate to have facilitated sessions at every one of these events over the years.
Bonaire is a Caribbean island that forms a special municipality of the Netherlands. The local flavor was felt even more so at this year's event. The location made it especially warm -- both for the friendly atmosphere and subtropical climate.
The island country's population of 17000 reminds that of a typical U.S. small town. And you know you are in good company when the flamingos and donkeys (which roam the streets freely) outnumber the people (!!)
Besides the local fauna and food, I was greatly impressed by the accounting professionals and advanced QuickBooks users that attended the sessions. Their level of interest and extremely interactive participation was especially welcome. The two-day event was hosted and sponsored by our partner Intuit Premier Reseller firm ClASS N.V. As in past years, I extend my genuine gratitude to Aubrey Pasial, founder and managing director of ClASS N.V., for inviting me to headline the conference.
MENDELSON ACADEMY...
On the home front, October marks the one-year anniversary of our own Mendelson Academy! In gratitude for the first year's success, we hosted the "What's New in QuickBooks 2014" seminars on 10/17/2013; we had to expand to three sessions due to overwhelming demand. And we are so excited to announce the launch of the new Mendelson Academy website... see more below!
We look forward to seeing you and your friends and colleagues at an upcoming Mendelson Academy event!
