Export reports to Excel

QuickBooks' reports are very customizable, but they don't have Excel's power to manipulate and format data and to run what-if scenarios. Luckily, you can easily export QuickBooks reports to Excel and open a world of options for your reports.
1) Open the report you want to export
2) Click the Export button at the top of the report
3) Choose whether to export as a comma-separated values (CSV) file, or into a new or existing Excel workbook
4) Click the Advanced tab if you want to preserve some of the QuickBooks report formatting options.
5) Click Export and the report will automatically be launched in Excel

Panhandling with Plastic Money...

Of the two main ways to ask for money -- panhandling and invoicing -- only the latter can benefit from billing services and credit card processing.  Billing services let companies send invoices electronically, by postal or electronic mail, and receive electronic payments or by credit card.

Billing services are designed specifically to help businesses invoice more effectively and lets users import invoices and payments directly into their accounting system, such as QuickBooks.  More importantly, billing services provide for accepting electronic payments and payments by credit card.  The upside of this is that accepting credit cards makes it more attractive and easier for customers to pay, because they can earn rewards or miles for putting what they already have to pay on a credit card.

Even easier now is the ability to save time and money with Intuit Payment Solutions (QuickBooks Merchant Services).  Businesses can accept credit and debit cards faster than ever, right in QuickBooks.  There is no more double data entry, no need to reconcile with a terminal.

Aside from lower costs compared to other merchant service providers, the leading advantage of accepting credit and debit cards from within QuickBooks is the elimination of errors in data entry or reconciliation.  Credit and debit cards processed via QuickBooks Merchant Services immediately improve accuracy by reducing data entry errors, including automatic entry of deposits as soon as funding occurs, properly reflecting sales amounts and applicable card processing fees.

As an Intuit partner, we are able to help businesses accept credit cards for less money and with less bookkeeping errors.  And our Premier standing as an Intuit Reseller Partner, gives clients unparalleled advantages, including no hidden fees and no cancellation fees.  No matter the type of business, there is a solution for everyone -- from within either QuickBooks Financial or Point of Sale software, via an online terminal (web browser), on an e-commerce shopping cart (web store), or even from a mobile device using a Bluetooth credit card reader!

History of Memorial Day

We here at Mendelson Consulting hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend with your friends and family. Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial start of summer for most Americans. Memorial Day has a long tradition in America and was first observed in 1868 as a commemoration after The Civil War .

Memorial Day was originally known as 'Decoration Day' and was traditionally celebrated on May 30th. This date was chosen not because of any particular battle on this date, but because it was considered to be the optimal time for flowers to be in bloom. It was made an official federal holiday in 1967, when it was decided it would observed on the 4th Monday of May, to allow for a three day weekend.
