NOVEMBER 2015
GREETINGS FROM OUR FOUNDER
"November is a wonderful month to give thanks and to renew our heart by remembering what is good. In the world where we live, it can be easy to drift into negativity and only see what is wrong around us.

I encourage you to strengthen yourself daily with thankfulness. Focus time and thought on the positive. Be proactive instead of reactionary. Make a difference to those around you by living from thankfulness!

On that note, I want each of you to know that I am thankful for you!"

- Ps Amy Muranko Gahan, Founding Director

MINISTRY IN USA
At the beginning of the month our Founding Director, Amy Muranko Gahan traveled to America for several speaking engagements including teaching leadership principles at Morningstar's Comenius School for Creative Leadership in South Carolina, training on freedom and missions at a Bible school in South Carolina, and ministering in the Sunday services at Faith Center in Illinois.

During her time in the USA, she also traveled to Dallas, Texas to attend and support a Benefit Concert hosted by Orphan Secure, our partner organisation in fighting human trafficking. This concert was held to raise funds for operations in Iraq to rescue sex trafficking victims.

LIVING PEARL CHILDREN'S HOME - UKRAINE
For the past few months we have been working on renovations for the second floor of our Children's Home in the Ukraine and we are excited to announce that renovations are almost complete - just in time for the winter season.

With the second floor added to the Children's home we are able to care for another 30 children! We would like to thank all our partners who have invested into the lives of our 'pearls' you are truly making a difference!

Additional monthly financial sponsors are now necessary as we take in more children. If you are interested in partnering with us click here.
Freedom! Philippines - Fight Human Trafficking
Throughout the month of November, our team in the Philippines have been involved with many different events to raise awareness on the global issue of human trafficking.

A few of our staff participated in a 'ZUMBA Fest Against Human Trafficking', Public Speaking in tribal areas, and also congratulations to one of our very own anti-trafficking advocates, Cindy Tomale, who was given the opportunity to participate in an anti-trafficking workshop which consisted of
student leader representatives from different universities and rotary clubs.

Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT) XI month-long observance of the
International Day against Trafficking in Persons, was launched earlier this month, with a 'Zumba for a cause' at the Rizal Park, Davao City. IACAT XI members, anti human trafficking advocates, academe and partners participated in this event to open up 'Human Trafficking Awareness month'

SCREENING OF THE ANTI-HUMAN TRAFFICKING VIDEO INFOMERCIAL
As part of IACAT XI's month-long observance of the International Day Against Trafficking in Persons, a video infomercial competition was held among all colleges, universities and technical-vocational schools in Region XI. Entries were screened by a Special Committee among IACAT XI Network members on November 18, 2015 at Cinematheque, Davao City.
Five finalists were picked from the entries. Said finalists will be judged on December 4, 2015 via a public viewing at Ayala-Abreeza Cinema, where a public poll will also be held.
