RECOVERY EFFORTS FROM TYPHOON YOLANDA
CONTINUE ONE YEAR LATER.
Give a man a fish, feed him a dinner.
Give a fisherman a boat, feed him for a lifetime!
One year ago the strongest storm ever recorded hit the central islands of the Philippines.
Yolanda's ferocious wind generated tsunami-like storm surges that swamped entire communities, leaving more than 7,300 people dead or missing. More than four million people were displaced by the storm, which destroyed or damaged more than a million houses and knocked down millions of power posts and coconut trees. Social Welfare Secretary Dinky Soliman described the rebuilding effort as "gargantuan."

At Global Impact, with our partner organizations, we are still a
year later helping in the rebuild efforts by distributing boats in
the islands of Leyte and Panay to fishermen.

With the fishing boats they can provide livelihood for their families.
A means to create livelihood is a powerful tool in preventing human trafficking. Thank you to those who gave!

UKRAINE - Living Pearl Children's Home

We have had several people ask if the war in Ukraine is affecting our kids at Living Pearl Children's Home.  The kids are safe and the region that our home is located in remains calm. We believe that this war will soon end in complete victory for Ukraine! Please pray for peace!
