THE FREEDOM PROJECT - HUMAN TRAFFICKING CONFERENCE
Global Impact organized The Freedom Project: Human Trafficking Conference in Davao City where 48 organizations were represented in attendance from government, church, education, and Non-governmental organizations (NGO) sectors.
The keynote speaker was Rolando Lopez, former FBI special agent and founder of Orphan Secure (www.orphansecure.com) there were also speakers from the Department of Justice and other local NGO's fighting human trafficking.
Delegates were taught:
- 7 human trafficking models globally
- Philippine law on human trafficking
- Regional situational analysis
- Interview and elicitation techniques used by traffickers to discreetly begin gathering information about their victims
- Best practices in working with local law enforcement agencies
Global Impact also organized for Rolando to hold a three day training with Region 11 Philippine National Police on combating human trafficking.

INTERNATIONAL DAY AGAINST TRAFFICKING
Global Impact was invited by the City of Davao and the Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking Region XI to perform it's Human Trafficking Awareness FLASH MOB at the International Day Against Trafficking rally downtown at Rizal Park.
Even the police wanted to be involved, so the Global Impact team incorporated 100 police officers into the dance!
