Catalyst Youth Leadership Academy staff and students surprised shoppers and visitors to NCCC Mall, Matina Town Square, SM Lanang, SM Ecoland, Abreeza Mall and Gaisano Mall in Davao City, Philippines, with a flash mob advocating for the 27 million people around the world currently caught in human trafficking.

In April and May, over 1,000 children experienced Global Impact's Born2Fly day camps during the summer break from school in the Philippines.

Five regional camps were conducted throughout targeted areas where the huge populations of school aged children there would be considered high risk for human trafficking. One of the camps was in the area that was ravaged by a typhoon in December last year - opportunistic traffickers prey on these hard hit areas.

The Born2Fly camps are being licensed with the Philippines Department of Education to be integrated into the curriculum in every school in our city.

In June, one of Global Impact's partner organization took the Born2Fly day camp we designed and implemented it in their Vacation Bible Schools in Manila, Philippines reaching hundreds more children. born2fly camps 3

Our focus right now in the Philippines is to train leaders and ministries to take the Born2Fly curriculum in various models into their community.

Our breakfast club team leaders are also being trained in how to include Born2Fly into the already established Breakfast Club Program (Global Impact's feeding program at the local elementary school for poor and malnourished children)
