Baptist Health Tour of the Gables 5K
On your mark...get set...Go! The Baptist Health Tour of the Gables 5K run/walk will pace its way through the City Beautiful this Saturday morning, May 21, 2016. As we approach the starting line of this year's race, we invite you to celebrate the event's coming of age. That's right: the Baptist Health Tour of the Gables is turning 21 years old! This Saturday, May 21, runners will pound the pavement as the course takes you on a scenic route through our gorgeous Coral Gables. Enjoy the runner's expo beginning at 6:45 a.m. in Merrick Park across from City Hall, pre-race plyometrics next to City Hall, and warm up at 7:00 a.m. courtesy of the Coral Gables Athletic Club. The race begins at 7:30 a.m. with a shotgun start, led by a pace car courtesy of Mercedes-Benz of Coral Gables. Plus, the first 700 pre-registered runners are guaranteed to receive a commemorative running shirt in honor of this milestone anniversary. There is still time to put a team together to run or walk. The largest team participating will take home the coveted Chairman's Cup, presented annually by Miami's Community Newspapers. Read more...
