G.W. Carver Elementary, also known as Little Carver, is recognized as an "A" school by the Florida Department of Education, and one of the top-ranked public schools in the state of Florida. It is also a U.S. Department of Education "Blue Ribbon School of Excellence."

G.W. Carver Elementary offers an enriched traditional basic skills program as well as an Extended Foreign Language Program (EFL) in Spanish and International Studies (IS) in Italian. Carver offers extracurricular activities that include participation in book, advanced math, science, art and drama clubs.

Little Carver has reached out to the Coral Gables Community and is asking for help in gathering school supplies for some of their students.
