TIPS
Recycling Your Cardboard

cardboard Did you know the City Beautiful collects your cardboard for recycling? Coral Gables residents are urged to recycle cardboard rather than place it in trash piles in the right-of-way. All cardboard set out for recycling must be placed inside your red bin with the rest of recyclables, or placed neatly next to it. All cardboard must be cut up or folded into manageable pieces for workers to remove. To request additional red bins call 305-460-5346.

Away from Home? Ask for a Security Check

police logo If you're planning on being away from home on summer vacation, did you know that you can contact our Police Department at 305-460-5408 to request a residential security check? This service is free of charge and lets your Police Department know when to patrol around your home to check for any suspicious activity. Protect yourself against home burglaries by asking a trusted neighbor to pick up your mail and newspaper. Make sure all door locks are working properly and double check that all doors and windows are locked before leaving your home.
