2013 DATA AVAILABLE FOR ALL TENNESSEE GEOGRAPHIES
American Community Survey (ACS) 5-Year estimates for 2009-2013 were released last week providing detailed, up-to-date socioeconomic data for every Tennessee community.
New with this year's 5-year release, data users are now able to readily access block group-level estimates in American FactFinder. Previously, this geography was only available in the ACS Summary File. The new geography in FactFinder is "Block Group" under "Census Tract."
Another useful tool available for use with the latest data release is the 2009-2013 Narrative Profiles. Using drop-down boxes, users can select a geography of interest and with a few clicks, produce a ready-made, multi-page analytic profile covering 15 topics. The profiles include text and charts highlighting selected social, economic, housing and demographic estimates for the selected geographic area. Click here to see a sample report for Chattanooga, Tennessee.
