Blue Ribbon Commission Community Forum
The Blue Ribbon Commission on Financing High Quality, Affordable Child Care (BRC) has scheduled five public forums around the state to hear from Vermonters about three questions:
  1. What would help you the most with respect to accessing high quality child care?
  2. What are the responsibilities of Vermont to help ensure all Vermonters have access to high quality child care?
  3. What should we do to make accessible, high quality child care more affordable in Vermont?
The BRC is expected to issue a report to the legislature and governor in November of this year. In order for the commission and policy makers to consider the child care challenges of Vermonters, we need you to attend the July forums and tell the commissioners about the issues facing parents, employers, and child care providers.

The Central Vermont forum will be held at the Aldrich Public Library in Barre on Monday, July 25 from 7:30-9:00 p.m. CLICK HERE to RSVP to attend. If you are a parent, you can receive a $30 child care stipend to help enable you to attend the forum. Please email Jessica (jessica.blackman@vermont.gov) so we can ensure your stipend will be waiting for you at the forum
Providers Corner

Ask Your Questions about the new Regs

The Child Development Division is looking for your questions on the regulations. The Division is currently developing resources for child care providers about the new child care regulations. One of the resources will be a Frequently Asked Questions page on the website for common questions and their answers about the child care regulations.

We need your help to build this resource. Please submit your questions to the Division through this survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Regulations_FAQ_Request

Please be as specific as possible. You may submit as many questions as you would like. Please submit one question per response. If you have another question, simply take the survey again.
Summer Playgroups
CVBBF playgroups do not run during the summer, but some of our partners run excellent playgroup programs through the months of July and August. See below for a flyer about the Family Center of Washington County's playgroup for deaf and hard of hearing children and their families.
Please feel free to contact me with your ideas, concerns and hopes for our children. I want to hear and learn from you!
