Data

Vermont Insights (VI) collaborates with an ever-growing range of data sources, like state agencies and the Census Bureau. These sources are called Data Producers. VI also works closely with the experts on each data source. These experts are called Data Stewards. The unique collaboration of the three is what makes VI's data accurate, understandable and useable by laypersons. See Got Data?

Policy

"Bullies are made, not born," asserts a new policy brief, "Focus on Early Childhood Risk Factors to Prevent Bullying," released by Building Bright Futures (BBF).  The brief focuses on risk factors and proven strategies that identify and mitigate certain early childhood behaviors before they become bullying behaviors.

Statewide note

We're highlighting this national report on wages of child care workers and the costs of care because of the specific data on Vermont. Please check out the interactive maps. Also, this month we have an interview with BBF Executive Director Julie Coffey conducted by Peg Bolgioni, the Rutland BBF Regional Coordinator for public access TV, and more.
