Pray to End Gun Violence
Again this school year, parents are invited to join the Loretto Community in silent prayer for an end to gun violence. Join Regina Drey SL on Monday, September 12, at 8:15 a.m. in the high school Chapel for 20 minutes. Parents are also invited to join SMA and Loretto in spirit from their homes or workplace. Students will also pray that day, at times and length of time appropriate to their age. Ordinarily, the group will gather on the first Monday of the month.

SMA Campus Security
We continue to take steps to increase security on the SMA campus. We are pleased to announce that keypad access locks have been installed on all buildings except the Sanders House. This will allow us to keep our buildings locked but also allow access for students and faculty as they move between buildings.
Beginning Monday, September 12, students and faculty will access campus buildings by entering a secret code on the keypad that will unlatch the door.
This system relies on keeping secret codes secret so students and faculty have been asked not to share. The codes will be changed periodically.
The keypad locks will allow entry between 6:30am and 4pm on school days. A key must be used at all other times.
As before, there is a doorbell at the HS northeast door, and on the front door of the MS and LS buildings so we will still be able to welcome parents and visitors to our campus through those entry points as well as the Sanders House.
