  • On Monday, March 21 the APES/Bio II class took a field trip to the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) and National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON) in Boulder. While at NCAR the students had a tour of their interactive displays on weather and climate and they also had an opportunity to see 3D images created by the supercomputers used to collect data about the earth and the sun. At NEON, the students were able to observe data collection about vegetation, landforms, climate, and ecosystem performance. This was an extremely educational opportunity that taught the students about their research.
  • Throughout the month of April as part of their class unit on family, sixteen seniors in the High School Women's Studies class will be experiencing the sleepless nights that new parents endure. • Challenger Sports: The coaches on your summer camps will stay with local families in your community for the duration of the camp week. This is one of the most popular elements of Challenger Sports' programs and truly does create life-changing experiences and friendships for your whole family. Each year, we receive hundreds of emails from families telling us what an unbelievable time they had hosting one of our coaches. During the summer, you will receive an $80 credit to be used on either programs, merchandise or to be converted into a rebate check. More importantly, at whatever point during the year you host a coach, we know that you will enjoy a unique experience hearing about another culture, learning about soccer, and building incredible relationships with our staff. If anyone is interested in hosting a coach or hearing more about the program please contact Grant Hall via email or by phone at 720-204-4053.
