Lower School News & Events
News:
  • Last Friday, the LS celebrated our first mass of the school year. Students looked spirited in their blue and white attire. Fr. Bob presided over the mass and remarked how impressed he was with the students' joyous participation and respectful behavior. In his homily, Fr. Bob focused on the presence of the Holy Spirit at SMA and told students that they are each a product of love.
  • This morning's assembly featured the first grade classes as they shared information, stories, song and prayer about Johnny Appleseed. Pictured below are just a few of the lively presenters! The next assembly will be Wednesday, October 7 at 8:10 AM.

Update From Florence Swanson, LS Principal:
Hello Parents,
Our faculty had a busy day on Monday for our Professional Development Day. We delved into our new program, Words Their Way, and all were trained to give the (DRA) Diagnostic Reading Assessment. All of the lower school students will be assessed and we will share those results with you at conferences.

The Fall Festival is this Sunday from 11:30 AM-1:30 PM.  I hope to see you there!

Sincerely,
Florence Swanson
