"Brilliant, dedicated, compassionate" - just a few words to describe one of our wonderful volunteers, Emily O'Neal.  Emily has generously donated her time to helping out as our tap dance teacher as well as an assistant during Night Watch for the past two years. Since Emily first joined our team, teachers and therapists have commented on how natural she is with our children and how much the children enjoy her as well.  Click here for the full article.
Athletic News
Congratulations SMA Wildcats!
The middle school runners participated in the Slavens Invitational on September 11th.  There were almost 1,000 runners entered in the six different races and the Wildcats finished strong.  Victoria Hall placed 10th with a time of 12:55 and Minci Puskus placed 12th with a time of 13:00 in the A Team 1.5 mile race. Palmer Mahoney lead the SMA boys with a time of 15:41, and Joseph Pace had a strong finish in the 6th grade boys race with a time of 15:57.  Areeba Nauman, Charlotte Swenson and Gwen Hall finished among the top 25 girls in the B Team race in a field of 205 runners.  Emma Dickinson earned an award for finishing 10th in the 6th grade girls race with a time of 14:31, and Kalie Linden crossed the finish line at15:08.  Congratulations to all of our Middle School runners!

Congratulations to the High School Wildcat Cross-country team on their 5th place finish at the Den North/Viking Invitational!  We credit each runner on the team for digging down to their core and their competitive nature to flat out charge the last mile of the race. After running hard for two miles, SMA runners changed their pace and sped up to pass runners that were in front of them.  In the final results, our SMA runners ended up seconds in front of opponents that needed to be caught and passed for the final score tabulation.
Way to go Varsity Volleyball! Our SMA Volleyball team brought home another 3-0 win in the CatDome against DSST-GVR Monday, September 21.

Proud to be a Wildcat!
