New! BMS Writing Lab:
Attention Students and Parents: The BMS Writing Lab will
start on October 8th and run on Wednesdays and Thursdays in the BMS Computer Lab, Room 234. This is an opportunity for students to gain assistance on writing projects in a small group/one-on-one setting with the help of a certified Literacy teacher. Students may bring any writing assignment (essays, OERs, lab reports, vocabulary, research projects, etc.) with them to work on. Any questions, please contact Ms. Both at

All 8th grade families should have received their 8th grade field trip packets @ Back to School Night or brought home by your 8th grader. If you did not receive your packet please click here to access a copy of the field trip letter and reservation form due November 2nd.
Girls on the Move:
Girls on the Move - Attention all girls in 5th - 8th grade! We are running a fall program of Girls on the Move, a fitness club where you train to run a 5K in downtown Somerville on November 24th. We will meet for 8 weeks on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays, afterschool from 2:50 to 3:50. Meet in Room 221 with sneakers, a water bottle, and a snack and then we'll go outside to run! See Ms. Malwitz or Mrs. St. Ours with questions.

Green Team --- Join the BMS Green Team! You'll get to take care of our school by doing recycling and outdoor projects, as well as do extra science labs and activities. And you'll earn all your community service too! We meet every other
