New ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS
The Debate Team is recruiting interested students. No experience necessary! Sign-up in Ms. Cerza's room, D-201. Students will engage in Public Forum Debate. Two-person teams compete against their peers in a competitive, yet fun environment! Students are encouraged to participate with friends. Chromebooks will be provided for students' convenience. Recent debate topics include: Junk food should be banned in schools. Schools should be year-round. The costs of a college education outweigh the benefits.

The SAT Bootcamp, an intensive test preparation seminar, will take place at Bernards High School from 9-1 on September 28th & 29th; students attend both days. New DISTRICT REDUCES CARBON FOOTPRINT AND SAVES $$$
Solar panels were installed on the roofs of the Bernards High School and Bedwell Elementary School. The Somerset Hills School District has begun saving a significant amount of money and has reduced its "carbon footprint" through its use of renewable energy. Kiosks have been installed at both schools to illustrate the savings. SERVICE LEARNING OPPORTUNITY
RHA's Old Fashioned Country Fair will be held on Sunday, October 13th from 11:30-4:30 at Fairview Farm Wildlife Preserve in Bedminster. Click here for more information regarding this service learning opportunity.
New RECOGNITION OF VOLUNTEERS
The search is on to find our top youth volunteer. If you're selected, you could receive $1,000, a silver medallion, and a trip to Washington D.C. next May. New AMERICAN RED CROSS CLUB
Are you looking to join a new club and get involved? If so, consider joining the American Red Cross club, in its second year at Bernards. Interested students should see Ms. Sosely in the Guidance Department or stay tuned for the next meeting, which will be October 2nd.
