Bedwell Friday Folder

September 13, 2013
Hello at home,

As our school routines slowly become second nature, let's all take a moment to enjoy the season's beautiful weather.

If you haven't returned your pink emergency cards and dismissal forms, please do so at your earliest convenience.  They provide important information we need.

I look forward to seeing you at one (or two) of Bedwell's upcoming Back-to-School nights!

Warm regards,

Gretchen Dempsey

Assistant Principal

Parents, in an effort to make the Bedwell Elementary and Bernardsville Middle School Campus even safer for our students, parents and staff, a traffic study was completed by a Traffic Safety Engineering company.  Their recommendations were  reviewed with, and modified by, the Bernardsville Police Department. The following traffic improvements have been implemented or will be implemented within the next couple of week:

·  The speed limit has been reduced to 15 MPH throughout the campus and speed limit

   signs have been added.

·  Speed tables and signs have been installed.

·  Additional school crosswalks have been added and signs installed.

·  Stop signs, do not enter signs and one way signs have been added.

·  Traffic markings and lines have been revised and/or repainted.

Please be extra mindful, patient and careful as we navigate the new traffic markings and the opening of school.  We trust that these improvements will contribute to a safe and successful school year at Bedwell and at Bernardsville Middle School.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding bus transportation to Bedwell, please contact Tom DeAngelo @ tdeangelo@shsd.org, or (908) 204-1930 X 1120.

If you haven't already sent in a picture of your child(ren) reading this summer, please do so!  We'd love to include it on our lobby bulletin board.
