SHEF ENRICHMENT ACADEMY

Give your student the boost they need before diving back into the school year by enrolling them in one of the SHEF Enrichment Academy's upcoming courses:  

 

Math:

Gateway to Algebra I: (This course will review important math concepts necessary for success in Algebra I.)      

Gateway to Geometry:(This course will review the important Algebra I skills necessary for success in Geometry.)

American Association of University Women's Annual Used Book Sale.

July 29 - Aug 1 & Aug 5 & 10.  9am-3pm, 2 - 6 hour shifts each day.

NEW -FREE VOCAL PERFORMANCE @ ST. BERNARD'S CHURCH

You are happily invited to attend an afternoon of song on Sunday, August 4th at 3:00pm, held in the Great Hall of the Parish House.  Performers will include Diana and Greg Corliss with David Dockery on piano, as well as several of Diana's voice students.  Music from many different genres will be featured, so there will be something for everyone to enjoy.  

 

Come support the rich musical tradition that St. Bernard's helps to foster in the community at this free concert.   Hope to see you there!

CAMP COLEY

Camp COLEY is a one week overnight camp open to all girls and boys from grades 3- 12.  Camp is held at Mt. Allamuchy Scout Reservation in Stanhope, NJ. This year, camp is being held August 4 - 10. The camp offers a fully supervised day and night program. Age appropriate activities include swimming, boating, first aid, ecology, hiking, crafts, rock climbing, COPE, sports, games, songs, campfires and a Thursday night dance with a DJ. Where 4-12 year olds will learn about care for area rivers...

Eco-friendly arts!  Interfaith storytelling!  Games!  NJ river project!  Music!  FUN!

 

Saint Bernard's, in cooperation with the Islamic and Jewish congregations of our community, will sponsor a week-long educational experience for children ages 4-12!

 

Half-day option: 9:30am - 12:00 noon

Full-day option:  9:30am - 5:00pm

Scholarships available.

CHILD HEALTH CONFERENCE

The Bernards Township Health Department conducts a monthly no cost clinic for children who are not covered by health insurance which ensures that children receive appropriate vaccinations in a timely manner.  

The services provided are: Growth and development assessments, Immunizations for newborns through children 18 years of age, Nutrition assessment and counseling, and Information and education on childhood health, safety, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) in the area, Pediatric Dental Program, NJ Snap (Food Stamps), etc. This influenza vaccine is available to those who attend at our Child Health Conference.

Koran by Heart--Thursday, August 8 at 7:00 pm. Watch this 80-minute documentary which follows three 10-year olds who leave their native countries to participate in one of the Islamic world's most famous competitions-a test of memory and recitation known as The International Holy Koran Competition.  They compete on the pronunciation, recitation and perfected memorization of the Koran.  After the film, M.
