New! From the Health Office: Attention Parents/Guardians of 5th graders!

The New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services has mandated that children who are 11 years of age and entering grade six receive a booster dose of Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria,  and acellular pertussis) as well as one dose of Meningococcal vaccine. These immunizations are required by the state and your child will not be able to enter sixth grade without them.

If you have already provided me with this information thank you.

If you have not given me this info, please send it to me as soon as possible.  Your child will not be able to attend the pool party on June 17th unless you have contacted me regarding a future appointment date or provided me with documentation that they have received the immunizations.  Required forms are available on the Bernardsville Middle School Health Office website.

BMS HSA News

Dear BMS HSA Member,

On behalf of the Bernardsville Middle School Home and School Association (BMS HSA), we would like to thank you for your support during the 2012-2013 school year. As a direct result of your generosity, both financial and your valuable time, we were able to provide an outstanding number of programs and events for all of the students at BMS. A highlight of some of the events that HSA members made possible this year includes:

We could not have provided these amazing programs and gifts to the school without your generosity and support. We wish everyone a happy and healthy summer and look forward to another great school year in 2013-2014.

Box Tops for Education:

Congratulations once again to Mr. Porter's period 2 social studies class for winning the final Box Tops for Education ice cream party! These 8th-graders, having won the first ice cream party back in January, collected an astonishing 859 box tops in the second half of the school year to clinch a landslide victory.  Kudos also go to their closest contenders,  Ms. Wisniewski's period 6 class with 222 boxtops and Mr. Docus' period 6 class with 207 box tops.  Remember to clip and save your box tops over the summer...social studies classroom collections will start up again next September, so that BMS can earn more free money for programs and supplies for our students!  Thank you!
