Special Edition - Bedwell Friday Folder   April 30, 2013   Dear Parents/Guardians, I am pleased to announce that Mrs. Melissa Leonard, Grade 4 Teacher, has been chosen as Bedwell's 2013-2014 Educator of the Year. Mrs. Leonard is a stellar educator who fosters respect within the classroom amongst her students and promotes a learning environment where children want to help each other to succeed. Mrs. Leonard also challenges her students to be independent learners and thinkers. She is creative and motivating with an inviting and learning- focused classroom. It is easy to see that Mrs. Leonard loves what she does and that love of teaching and learning is passed along to each of her students. She encourages children to do their very best and is always there with a kind word to promote their confidence and to suggest a path that she thinks will build their self-esteem as they grow as learners.
