Dear Parents and Guardians,

In honor of Earth Day, the BMS Green Team is asking all students to wear as much green as possible to show support for "going green". As an incentive, the science class who wears the most green in each grade level will receive a free ice cream during lunch the next day! Please encourage your child to wear green on Monday, April 22nd. Have a great weekend!

NJASK Testing:

Please note NJASK 2013 testing for Grades 7 & 8 will be 4/29 thru 5/2. Grades 5 & 6 will test 5/6 thru 5/9. 

It is pertinent to make every effort to ensure your child is present and on time for school during testing.

 

Students were handed NJASK 2013 Parent & Student Testing Information Booklets during classes yesterday to bring home for both students and parents to read.  Additionally you can access the same information from the following links.

BMS HSA News 

 

Save the Date:  Tuesday, April 23 at 9:00 a.m.

Officer Paul Kelley of the Bernardsville Police Department and BMS DARE Officer, will discuss social media, internet safety and your children at the 4/23 HSA Meeting. A topic not to be missed.

 

Learn about the different on-line social outlets children are using today. Come ready with your questions about choosing a screen name, password, posting photos and on-line friends. Ever wonder if your child is inadvertently giving out personal information or being bullied? What is the most effective way to monitor what your children are doing on-line? Join in on the discussion.  All HSA meetings are at BMS in the Library.

 

BMS Teacher Appreciation Luncheon: May 3rd 

 

The HSA is looking for volunteers to contribute towards this year's Teacher Appreciation Luncheon. All donations are due in the main office on May 3rd by 9 am. Please see the attached document to sign up to volunteer! 

 

 
 
 
SHEF News

The Somerset Hills Education Foundation is pleased to announce a new initiative called the SHEF Enrichment Academy.  Through the Academy, students will be able to take very reasonably priced summer courses that will enhance or enrich their current academic pursuits.  Although these courses will not be for academic credit,
they would be enriching courses that will help further develop various skills, abilities, talents and interests.  Program guides containing a list of available courses as well as registration information will be available in the next few weeks.  Questions can be addressed to:  shefenrichment@shsd.org

  
 
BMS Sports

GET YOUR SPRING SPIRITWEAR! The online store for BMS spiritwear is now open for placing orders. New this spring are BMS black mesh shorts. Other items available include short- and long-sleeve T-shirts, hooded sweatshirts and flannel pants. To access the store, please use the link https://efinger.itemorder.com/  The sales code is BMS2013. Orders can be placed through Friday, April 19. Merchandise will arrive approximately three weeks after the store closes and will be sent home with the student through the front office.
