Take advantage of the early registration discount. Discounts apply to applications received or postmarked by March 31, and those that registered on line on or before March 31, 2013. On or after April 1, the discount no longer applies. Early discount prices are as follows: Resident Family, $410; Non Resident Family, $615. Swim lessons and swim team are also available. Extreme Draw-On!-Tuesday, April 2, 10:30-11:30 am and 4:00-5:00 pm. Release your inner artist through hatching and scratching for a reverse drawing. Ages 3 and up. Free. No sign-up is needed.
Teddy Bear Sleepover--Wednesday, April 3. Bring your teddy bear or stuffed animal to the library for a sleepover between 4:00 and 6:00 pm. During the evening, you'll receive email photos of your buddy's activities at the library. Pick him up at Story Time on Thursday morning, April 4 at 10:30 am. Free family program. No sign-up is needed.
Drop-In Craft and Coffee--Monday, April 8 at 10:30 am. Enjoy conversation and relax as your child does a craft. The library supplies the coffee and craft materials. Free family craft program. No sign-up is needed.
I Haiku, Do You?--Tuesday, April 9 at 4:15 pm. Haikus are short poems that rely on description. Learn all about haiku and write one for our poetry contest. Free family program. No sign-up is needed.

SOMERSET HILLS YMCA PROGRAMS
The Somerset Hills YMCA has several upcoming events for families. See attached flyers for each.
Y Splash- This low-cost program, for children ages 3-5, is designed to build swimming skills and teach the children about water safety. The class will be held the first week of April and is 30 minutes a day for four days.
Basketball Tournament - Basketball fans age 9 and up are invited to celebrate the March Madness college basketball tournament by participating in shooting contests and three-on-three games at the Y during the first week of April.
Friday Family Night - 6-8pm - a great opportunity for families to spend quality time together and have fun.
Lucia Bocchino Art Contest - artists in grades K-12 can submit art for the "Exhibition of Inspirational Women: Who Inspires You?". The Lucia Bocchino Fund will generously donate awards in five categories. Art will be on display at the Y from April 29 - May 11.
Lifeguard Certification or Recertification- With summer around the corner, spring is the perfect time to become certified as a lifeguard. The Y offers certification and recertification trainings in the months of April, May and June.

An Evening With The Frogs
Friday, April 26, 7:00 - 8:30 P.M.
Come for a night adventure to the world of amphibians! We'll start with a short slide presentation of the frogs of the Sanctuary, and then we'll head out with flashlights, buckets and nets to the vernal pools and frog ponds. We'll listen and look for anything that hops, crawls, or swims! Due to the sensitivity of the habitat, program is limited to 15 people.Pre-registration required by 4/24, call 908-766-5787.

Residents will be volunteering to help pick up litter in Bernardsville. Participants can register via e-mail by submitting their name and location they would like to clean. It can be any area of Bernardsville that needs attention. You can register as a group or an individual, or you can just participate that day by reporting to Base Camp to obtain trash bags. A used bike collection for Pedals for Progress will be hosted by the Bernardsville United Methodist Church, 22 Church St. Used adult and children's bicycles in good condition will be accepted to be sent to help individuals in developing countries around the world. Sewing machines in working condition will also be accepted. Pedals for Progress requires a $10 donation with each bike to help defray the cost of shipping. CHILD HEALTH CONFERENCE
The Bernards Township Health Department conducts a monthly no cost clinic for children who are not covered by health insurance which ensures that children receive appropriate vaccinations in a timely manner.
The services provided are: Growth and development assessments, Immunizations for newborns through children 18 years of age, Nutrition assessment and counseling, and Information and education on childhood health, safety, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) in the area, Pediatric Dental Program, NJ Snap (Food Stamps), etc. This influenza vaccine is available to those who attend at our Child Health Conference.

Workshop and Walk

Learn how to use identification keys to different wildflower guides. Review terms of leaf and flower structure. Bring your favorite guide, camera and magnifier loupe. Following an indoor activity, we will walk the trails to see what is in bloom at Scherman Hoffman.
