Bedwell Friday Folder

February 22, 2013
Hello at home,

Have you heard that Bedwell has been recognized as a NJ Green Ribbon School?  The New Jersey Department of Education has announced that Bedwell is one of only two school buildings in the state to be recognized as a 2013 New Jersey Green Ribbon School. Additionally, Bedwell will be submitted to the U.S. Department of Education as one of New Jersey's nominees for recognition as a Green Ribbon School at the national level. The Green Ribbon School Program recognizes exemplary achievement and best practices in the areas of environmental impact and energy efficiency, healthy school environments and environmental and sustainability education.

As our Energy Efficiency Coordinator, Mariel O'Brien, likes to remind us, "The cheapest and greenest kWh is the one you don't use!"

Gretchen Dempsey

Assistant Principal
