Parents of current eighth graders are invited to attend BHS's Eighth Grade Scheduling Information Night.  The event will be held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, January 9th. Click here for more information.

New     NHS WINTER COAT DRIVE

The National Honor Society will be hosting a winter coat drive for a group of inner city children from the ages of 5 to 18 from Washington DC. The winter coats will be collected and taken down to DC during the winter break.   The donation boxes will be located in the cafeteria, and a little gift will also be distributed to those of you who donate. If you have any questions, please speak to Melanie Boylan, Ms. Peppe, or Dr. Hogge.

Order your red or white Bernards knit skull cap and red scarf today!  Great stocking stuffer idea!  Proceeds support the Bernards High Baseball Team.  Order forms due by December 14th for holiday delivery.  Click here for order form and details.  Thank you for your support! 

Please pardon our appearance while we raise funds for those affected by the Hurricane Sandy.  Faculty, staff, and students at Bernards are participating in the inaugural Bernards Beards fundraising effort. Participants reported to school clean shaven on Wednesday, Novembeard 21st and will grow their beards from that point until Thursday, Decembeard 20th.  All members of the school community will be able to cast ballots for the best beard on Decembeard 20th.  The cost of each vote will be $1 and all members of the school community are encouraged to vote early, often, and for as many participants as they see fit.  To cap off the event, participants will trim their beards and report to school with their new creations (mustaches, goatees, lamb chops, etc.) on Friday, Decembeard 21st.  We will announce the faculty/staff member and the student with the most votes on the 21st.

All proceeds from the fundraiser will be donated to Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund.  Click here to view the website for the relief fund organized by Governor Christie and his wife. 

Attention all students:  We have been alerted that there are trees uprooted by the storm that are dangerously hanging over the path from the high school to the Burger King parking lot.  Until further notice, students are not permitted to use that path at any time.  Students seen using the path during the school day will receive disciplinary consequences. 

ATTENTION SENIORS:  COMMON APP AND NAVIANCE

Please make sure that you create a Common Application account - Mr. Smith sent information to all seniors in early August; if you didn't get that email, please check your Naviance account and provide the correct email address, if applicable. After you create the Common App account, you can then link that account with your Naviance account so that you can request transcripts - there is no more black book! On the Guidance web page, there is a presentation available (TRANSCRIPT REQUEST GUIDE, under the "College/Application Materials" folder)) to walk you through the process of combining your accounts. ATTENTION JUNIORS AND SENIORS:  COLLEGE REPRESENTATIVE VISITS

Please visit your Naviance account to view the list of schools visiting BHS over the first few weeks of the school year. If you are interested in attending a meeting with a college representative, then you must register through your Naviance account at least a day in advance. You also must inform your teacher in advance that you will be missing class, and you are responsible for all work.
