New SUPERINTENDENT SEARCH
The Somerset Hills Board of Education invites you to attend a critical issues input session to gather information to be used to set criteria for the background, training and experience necessary for the new superintendent of schools - November 13 at 11:30 am or November 15 at 7:00 pm in the Community Room at BHS.

New KEY CLUB HALLOWEEN CANDY DRIVE
The BHS Key Club is coordinating a Halloween Candy Drive to benefit our troops overseas. They are working with Dr. Allison Hurley to collect unopened Halloween Candy to make goodie bags to send to our service men and women. We are also collecting beanie babies, and asking that letters be written to send over with the goodie bags. Collection boxes will be set up by the BHS Main Office. This Saturday KEY CLUB STEP OUT WALK TO STOP DIABETES
The BHS Key Club is participating in the STEP OUT WALK to STOP DIABETES sponsored by the American Diabetes Association. This event will be held on Saturday, October 27th, 2012 at 2:00pm at Somerset Patriots Stadium. Please join us for a fun walking day to support a great cause, and take part in the haunted trail, costume contest, pumpkin picking, and pumpkin painting. Community Service hours will be given to those students who participate in this event. Please contact Mrs. Connor, BHS Key Club Advisor, if you have any questions. New FALL DRAMA: THE CRUCIBLE - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Volunteers are needed to help with The Crucible on October 26, 27 and 28. Please contact Michele Pomeranz at mmpomeranz@verizon.net if you are able to help with any of the following:
*Concessions: Volunteers needed for each show for set up, working during intermission, and clean up
*Ticket Sales: Volunteers needed for each show 45 minutes before curtain time to assist with ticket sales at the door
*Candygrams: Volunteers needed to purchase and prepare candygrams and to sell them at each show; younger students needed to deliver to the cast and crew during intermission
*Cast Photos: Volunteer needed during each show at intermission
FENCING
Fencing is a sport which challenges your mind and body; like a physical game of chess.
Fencing helps develops mental acuity, quick reflexes, coordination, balance and discipline.

NHS PEER TUTORING PROGRAM 2012-13
The National Honor Society members offer an in-school tutoring program for any high school students who need extra help in their classes. Students who need extra help will be matched with a NHS member who will meet them once a week during a shared free period. This weekly meeting will continue as long as the student needing help stays in contact with their matched NHS member. If any student is interested in being matched with a tutor, they are to fill out the NHS Tutoring Form and return it to either Ms. Peppe (tpeppe@shsd.org) or Dr. Hogge (jhogge@shsd.org).
