NEW - CANDY DRIVE FOR OUR TROOPS
Girl Scout Troop 60088 is asking for your support by donating candy to send to our troops stationed around the globe. The girls have been very active in Operation Shoebox New Jersey (for more details www.opshoeboxnj.org), a volunteer organization that ships boxes of goodies to our troops. BMS students can earn Community Service time as follows:
25 pieces of candy - 30 minutes 75 pieces of candy - 1.5 hours
50 pieces of candy - 1 hour 100+ pieces of candy - 2 hours
The Drop-Off box is located in the Main Office. Either give your candy to a BMS student to earn Community Service hours, or just bring in your candy to the Main Office. Please support our troops who work hard to protect our freedom! Thank You!

Have you ever seen a wild turkey? Ben Franklin wanted it to be our national bird. We will make turkey sounds with a turkey "caller" and match feathers to the part of the bird. Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel frescoes were brilliantly restored between 1980-1999. In a richly illustrated talk, on Sunday, Nov. 18 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Richard Somerset-Ward will show the frescoes, before and after restoration, and explains some of the methods and techniques Michelangelo used to paint them. The goal is to eliminate vaccine-preventable disease in children. This federally funded, state operated vaccine supply program provides pediatric vaccines at no cost to doctors and health care providers who serve children who might not otherwise be vaccinated due to the inability to pay. The 9 year old son of a 1989 BHS graduate has been diagnosed withT Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, T-ALL. He has been going through months of treatment which needs to continue for the next 3 years. Heartworks pie sale donates 100% of all monies raised from this sale to go directly towards his treatment costs. See flyer and order form attached.
Heartworks is a 501(c3) Acts of Kindness group that was created in response to the tremendous kindness that sustained so many families in the months and years following September 11, 2001.
