FLU SHOTS -- BERNARDS TOWNSHIP HEALTH DEPARTMENT
$20 for residents and $30 for non-residents and they are also available for no charge for those with a valid Medicare Part B card. Participants should consult with their doctor before receiving the flu vaccine. Clinical services are provided by the Visiting Nurse Association of Somerset Hills. Since New Jersey law requires that children up to 59 months of age attending any licensed child-care center or pre-school facility, must receive at least one dose of influenza vaccine between September 1st and December 31st of each year they have included shots for children who are age 4 and older to assist parents in obtaining this vaccination for their pre-school child. Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel frescoes were brilliantly restored between 1980-1999. In a richly illustrated talk, on Sunday, Nov. 18 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Richard Somerset-Ward will show the frescoes, before and after restoration, and explains some of the methods and techniques Michelangelo used to paint them. VACCINES FOR CHILDREN PROGRAM For all children birth to 18 years who are not covered by health insurance to receive appropriate vaccinations in a timely manner at no cost. The goal is to eliminate vaccine-preventable disease in children. This federally funded, state operated vaccine supply program provides pediatric vaccines at no cost to doctors and health care providers who serve children who might not otherwise be vaccinated due to the inability to pay. The 9 year old son of a 1989 BHS graduate has been diagnosed withT Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, T-ALL. He has been going through months of treatment which needs to continue for the next 3 years.
