Merced Barrera, one of the 2013 Dan Bradley Fellowship recipients, will spend the summer at California Rural Legal Assistance, Inc.

"In these short two weeks I have already been assigned a wage claim case, which I filed with the Labor Commissioner, and attended the CRLA Labor Law Training in the Stockton office. I have also drafted an unemployment insurance benefits appeals letter and have interviewed three clients."

"Like" the Campaign for Justice

The Campaign for Justice is working to boost funding for all IOLTA programs. If you like this, please "like" the Campaign on Facebook during this final push to reach 500 page likes on the Campaign for Justice Facebook page. Every new like means a pledge of one dollar for legal services, and the outreach for the campaign is a critical part of its continuing success.
Advocacy

LAAC is working to keep you informed of the many changes the State Bar is considering, including a revamp of the MCLE program and a proposal to allow nonattorneys to practice law. For more info, check out our website.
