Submit a Training Proposal for the 2013 Family Law Conference in San Diego

Mark your calendars for the Family Law Conference to take place March 28 and 29, 2013 in San Diego! We'd love to have you attend or serve as a workshop leader

Since 2003, the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) and the Legal Aid Association of California (LAAC) have worked together to bring quality, affordable Family Law Conferences to legal services providers, court based staff, and pro bono attorneys in Northern and Southern California. These trainings facilitated by attorneys, court staff, and other experts, provide numerous educational and practical resources for family law attorneys and staff working with low-income persons.

How to Propose a Training: Please submit a training proposal using the form found here to Patrick Fodell, pfodell@laaconline.org. Deadline for submitting a proposal is November 19, 2012.

How to Register: Registration material will be available soon. Email Patrick Fodell at pfodell@laaconline.org, if you have any questions.

For more information on other trainings offered by LAAC, or the 2013 Family Law Conference, place click here.

We look forward to seeing you in San Diego!

LAAC Advocacy

You can find an update of the status of this session's bills, including links to chaptered bills and veto messages on our Current Advocacy page (http://laaconline.org/currentadvocacy).

Pursuant to our advocacy policy, we do not take positions on many bills that may be of great interest to our members.

LAAC supported bills  AB 2684 (Judiciary) and AB 1775 (Wieckowski) were both signed into law by Governor Brown.

Thank you to those who submitted letters of support for these bills!

Finally, as the 2012 election approaches, do not forget to check out LAAC's 2012 Election Page to see what you can and can't do as an employee of a nonprofit.
