Happy Valentine's Day everyone! This will be an exciting weekend for my family as we will be in New York City to see the Collegiate Chorale at Carnegie Hall, host some of our NYC alumni, and take in a Broadway show. Monday is also an exciting day for CoLA as we hold our first Pathways to Success program for prospective students. Thank you to everyone for working to make this a success for the college.
My family and I have also been attending many of the Men's Basketball games, cheering on the Raiders, laughing at Rowdy, and watching the supportive and loud crowd. I love seeing many of our colleagues there, including a solid representation from the Dean's Office, illustrated here in our #RaiderUp collage.
At the center of our #RaiderUp collage is our fantastic, Best in the Horizon League Pep Band (BHLPB), led by graduate student extraordinaire, Aaron Jacobs, Music. I continue to be impressed with the quality of the band and that they seem to run the game. Others in the collage are (clockwise) my husband, Scott Peterson, and me (and lil' Rowdy); Kristen and Herb Dregalla when they were selected for Best Seats in the House, donated by Morris Home Furnishings; Josh Dregalla, Herb and Kristen's son and a member of the Cheerleading Squad; Rick and Suzy Zech, season ticket holders and huge fans; Andy and Vera Wincheck, also known as The Legend as he was the very first Rowdy Raider; and Professor Emerita Elizabeth Harden, the author of our newest CoLA Newsletter column Back in the Day, and her friend Chuck Ames. Raider Up!
As most of you know, CoLA is on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram - links below. I am also on Twitter @KristinSobolik and I tweet about the goings on in the college, at Wright State, and in Higher Education. Check it out!
