Herndon Farmers' Market Extends Into Lunch Hour
It's back! The Herndon Farmers' Market is now open in historic downtown Herndon every Thursday, through October. This year, the market's hours have been extended - new hours are 8am until 12:30pm - so that office workers and others have time time to browse the market during the lunch hour.
Additional enhancements to the market include a Chef's Demo series featuring Herndon restaurants; the first Demo, scheduled for this Thursday, features Homemade Chicken Stew prepared by Jimmy's Old Town Tavern. Entertainment and activities are planned for the market throughout the season.
As always, the real highlight of the market is the vendors themselves, offering a seasonal abundance of plants, produce, baked goods, meats and more - all sold by local growers and producers. Click here for updates on market activities, and make plans to spend Thursday's lunch hour at the Herndon Farmers' Market! |

Sponsorship Opportunity to Gain Recognition, Enhance Appearance of Herndon's Downtown
The Town of Herndon and the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce are offering businesses a chance to sponsor recycling receptacles in Herndon's downtown.
Receptacles that are sponsored by businesses will each bear a plaque showcasing the sponsoring company's name and logo. Receptacles will be placed along downtown streets and in other public spaces, and they will be maintained by the town's Department of Public Works.
The sponsorship program represents an opportunity for businesses to give back to the community and to demonstrate support for the environmental benefits of recycling. For more information, please contact Bryce Perry at bryce.perry@herndon-va.gov or 703-787-7380. |
