Back to School with No Fault!

It's that time again...time to get ready to go back to school! That means it's time for our children to get back to their studies, as well as play time on the playground. Children need to expend their energy each day, and play outside time is good for them both mentally and physically.

If you ask kids what their favorite subject is, many of them will say "RECESS"!

Are your school playgrounds ready and safe for the new school year? This is where No Fault Sport Group can help. We offer several types of playground surfacing to meet your budgeting needs.

 Project Highlight: Riverland Community College

No Fault recently co123mpleted a very unique custom designed project for Riverland Community College. The Joseph Company contacted No Fault in January 2013 to assist in the complete renovation of the campus childcare facility.

With plans provided by RSP Architects, No Fault Sport Group's Regional Sales Manager, Beth Johnson, transformed a blank slate into a work of art!  Beth says, "This is the part of my job I love the most; not only do we get to provide a safer playground for these kids, but I get to have fun designing and creating a surface that will put smiles on their faces." Director of the facility, Shannon Hart, was also integral in the request for a fun, whimsical approach.

No Fault installed the safety surfacing in June 2013 and when recently asked about the surface Ms. Hart stated, "One of the preschool children said, 'I wonder if it feels like this to walk on the moon!' We are very happy with the playground surfacing. When you look at the safety of children, this product is something I would choose over mulch, pea rock etc. It looks fabulous and the children as well as adults are glad we have placed this in our playground."

How Rubber Mulch Protects Children
for Residential Playground Safety

mulch Playgrounds have benefits for children that are not limited to physical activity. Playing with other  children in a playground environment can also aid in social, emotional and cognitive development. Additionally, playing outside can help build a child's imagination and spur exploration and discovery.

When choosing a play set for home use, most parents and guardians of young children focus on the type of apparatus the set has. It is almost second nature to focus on the number of slides, swings and activities the playground equipment has. Just as important is the backyard playground surface that will provide safety protection for children as they play.

The playground surface is often overlooked as a component of backyard safety. According to a study performed by the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC), the vast majority, 80% of public playground equipment has playground safety surfacing with shock absorption. However, only 9% of play sets located in residential backyards have the same level of security. The study concluded that 69% of the 50,000 injuries per year associated with at home playgrounds were a result of falls on a surface below the equipment that had no protection.

Commonly, home play sets are installed above grass or dirt, but neither of these options provide safety protection against injuries in the event of a fall. This is true even for falls that are from less than 30 inches above the ground. Injuries sustained due to lack of a playground safety surface include arm and leg fractures and contusions and lacerations of the face and head as detailed by the CPSC.

No Fault, as a leader in backyard surface protection provides a remedy for these

No Fault, as the industry leader in the commercial market, provides a remedy for home owners with safety concerns. Made from recycled rubber tires, No Fault Rubber Mulch provides a safe shock absorbing surfaceThe rubber mulch also has many distinct advantage over wood mulch.  Rubber mulch does not compress which helps to prevent the need for annual replenishing.   It drains better, so it doesn't create mold or mildew like wood mulch.  Animals don't like the smell so they don't use as an outdoor litter box. Rubber mulch playground surfacing provides protection for years and provide parents with all the great benefits they are accustomed to at their local park.
