Two very bedraggled Silky Terriers were found behind a dumpster in Puyallup.  They appeared to be brothers between 7 to 9 years old.  Both were extremely matted with fecal material stuck in their fur.  The mats were pulling on their skin and they appeared very uncomfortable.  After finishing their stray hold, no one came to claim them so they moved to our adoption program.  Jerry was in a bit better condition coat-wise and was adopted out.  Ben, sadly, was left on his own at the shelter.

A local groomer who works with Gone to the Dogs in Bonney Lake, stopped in and offered to give Ben a much needed haircut as a donation.  The photos speak for themselves!  Ben also had terrible dental problems that couldn't wait so FAYMAS (Friends At Your Metro Animal Services) stepped in and funded the dental work needed for Ben's health!

A family had been looking at Ben off and on. They liked everything about him, but were daunted by the dog's condition.  After the doggie make-over, Ben was adopted and the entire family and dog couldn't be happier together.
