Dog Days of Summer
At Metro this August, it really is the Dog Days of Summer with an outpouring of support! First, our partners at FAYMAS (Friends at Your Metro Animal Services) wrote a grant and obtained funding from the Puyallup Tribe of Indians to purchase a large animal trailer. Metro does serve large animals and previously had no good transportation options. Have you ever tried to fit a goat into a dog kennel!? No more for Metro, thanks to our generous donors and partners.
Second, the 2015 Scotty Cull Memorial Benefit Ride has selected Metro to be one of its fund recipients. Scotty Cull had a passion for animals, and a heart for our nation's military veterans, so his family and friends have bade it their mission to carry on his spirit through an annual ride that celebrates his legacy. From this, Metro will receive approximately $8,500 in funding! A heart-felt thank you to the entire GA family for this support. The animals at the shelter will benefit greatly from it.

New Digs for the Cats
Thanks to YOU, we reached our $13,000 fundraising goal for the Woof and Whiskers Project! Your donations went towards the much needed purchase of new cat kennels for the shelter. We couldn't have done this without the support from our citizens, community partners, FAYMAS and Volkswagen of Puyallup. On behalf of "Sam" and all of us at Metro, a grateful thank you!
