June is Adopt-a-Cat Month! With the arrival of Kitten Season, you're sure to find the purrrfect companion here at the shelter. Check our website for a current list of adoptable animals. If you aren't in a position to adopt but would like to help the shelter care for kittens, you can donate money, supplies or become a volunteer. Summer Paw-ty Time!
Pets like to gather with friends in summertime parties just like everyone else. Why do you think it's called the Dog Days of Summer? Please join Metro Animal Services in celebrating these two first festivals, and stop by our booth to say hello and maybe get a scratch behind the ears (last one reserved for our four-legged friends only!)
June 14
 Don't get caught in the "ruff" as Metro helps Sumner throw a pre-party for the U.S. Open in our area. Other events include a unique, outdoor nine-hole putt-putt (putt under Mt. Rainier?!?), a Main Street Parade and more.
June 19-21
 This three-day festival celebrates Puyallup's history and culture, boasts numerous live entertainment options, activities and vendors. There will be something for everyone including pet lovers, with the Dog Lounge and, of course, the Metro Animal Services Booth!

 The 17 th Annual (PSI) Take Your Dog to Work Day is Friday, June 26 th
and what better way to celebrate your furry companion than a little show off time at the office so you can show your co-workers who's really the boss! Pet ownership has many benefits including stress relief and better overall health by increasing physical activity. Join us in celebrating man's best friend and help to encourage pet adoptions.
