Daffodil Parade
Did you know that the Daffodil Festival originated in 1926 as a garden party where guests had the opportunity to admire several varieties of daffodils in bloom? In time, the viewing of daffodils became quite popular, causing havoc on traffic. In 1934, automobiles and bicycles were decorated with the blooms and traveled together through the valley towns and as so the parade began!
Metro was honored to participate again in this year's Daffodil Parade on April 11. Our partners at VW of Puyallup joined us as we participated in the Puyallup route and the Sumner route. Through the rain, sun and sometimes hail, thanks to everyone who waved to the Metro mascots, Roscoe and Trixie!
