Having a difficult time sticking to your New Year's Resolutions? Make it fun and realistic by including the family pet. Here are a few simple ideas to use your pets to keep everyone healthy and on track with those month-old resolutions.
- Get out and walk. Who doesn't enjoy a little fresh air? Aside from the benefits of exercise, you both will benefit from a little Vitamin D.
- Choose healthier food options. When you eat healthy, it will naturally carry over to being more mindful of the importance of what your pets consume. Plus, better food= better energy for those walks!
- Schedule wellness exams. Maybe you've heard the saying, "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure"? Not only do humans reap the benefits from annual physicals and preventative care, but so do our four-legged companions.
