Webster University Website Conversion Project Nearing Completion
screen shot of webster.edu home page

The monumental website conversion project is 75% complete. Fewer than 15 campus location websites remain to be converted.

Director of Digital Marketing & Communication Craig Carmichael has expressed his appreciation for the input, attention and patience of everyone at each campus location. Great strides are being made daily to accomplish this project by the end of February.

With some additional hard work and a little luck, all extended campus websites will be converted by February 28. In addition to the campus location sites, other large conversions remain on schedule to be completed by the target date of February 28, including Human Resources, Campus Life, Staff Directory and assorted Academic Affairs website sections. Following the complete conversion of all website pages, the old content management system, SiteStudio, will be decommissioned.

Once all campus location websites have been converted, the Digital Marketing & Communications Team will begin work to further optimize each of them in an effort to increase new student inquiry and admissions. When reviewing websites, it is important to remember that our new responsive website design allows us to present a quality user experience on multiple digital platforms including desktop, tablets and mobile phone. This will reduce redundancy and increase consistency, ensuring we meet the expectations of potential, new and current students.

The Webster Digital Marketing & Communications team is making every effort to ensure a seamless transition, with the understanding that on occasion corrections, edits and additions may need to be made.

For routine website edits, requests for employee access to the new content management system or general inquiry please contact the Service Desk, and they will respond to the issue as necessary. This allows for workflow tracking and improvement of service to each extended campus. In the case of an emergency or urgent situation, however, campus directors should always feel free to contact Craig directly.

FAFSA!  FAFSA!  FAFSA!

It is time for students to file the 2013-14 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) if they are planning to attend Webster University during the 2013-14 academic year (Summer 2013, Fall 2013, & Spring 2014).

Please encourage students to complete the FAFSA as soon as possible before March 1 to maximize their eligibility for federal, state and institutional financial aid at Webster.

To complete a FAFSA online, students need to go to www.fafsa.gov and will need their PIN to complete the FAFSA online. If a student has forgotten their PIN, they can request a duplicate at www.pin.ed.gov. Please remind students that they can use estimated information when completing the FAFSA and then update the information once their taxes have been completed.

Questions may be directed to 314-246-6992 or fincaid@webster.edu.
