Juan

Last winter, Juan came to the US from China with her husband and three year-old son.  Her husband was offered a fellowship in Hospital Administration at Hartford Hospital.  He had a pretty good command of the English language, but Juan's was very limited.  That was then.   Click here to read about her now.

Reaching Out

 6 degrees of separation

Do you know someone who could benefit from our program?  Or do you know someone who knows someone who could benefit?

We are committed to our vision to build a stronger, more resilient Greater Hartford by creating a community of fully literate adults.  This year we are intensifying our focus and implementing a student outreach plan.  We are targeting neighborhoods in the Hartford area and reaching out to community groups, the media, and our comunity contacts.

Let us know if you know someone who could benefit...
